Enabling Grids for E-sciencE EGEE-II INFSO-RI-031688 LHCOPN Operations Workshop – CERN, 2007-11-05 3 Objectives of the meeting Get an idea of how Operations are handled at the sites: –CERN example as a starting point; See where there are potential issues: –Missing information, –Missing steps, –Conflicting or duplicated workflows and/or information flows, –Lack of monitoring/logging; Start defining a few requirements on: –The trouble Ticketing System (GGUS?), –The monitoring framework, –Others? Discuss the metrics we would like to report; Start sketching a possible solution;

Maintenance: –Description of your usual maintenance procedures:... –What is your usual advanced notice delay? –Who are the current recipients of the maintenance notice? Periodic reporting: –What kind of quality metrics are gathered? –Have you any periodic reporting in place? –If yes, at which period and what are the indicators included in the report?
