3.  Fueled by capillary action—the wick sucks up wax and burns it in the presence of oxygen.  Carbon dioxide and water vapor are waste products of combustion  Free carbon is soot Candle Flame

4.  Primary Combustion-air and fuel mixture is ignited.  Main Reaction-combustion (burning) starts to take place.  Mantle-combustion is completed. Bunsen Burner

5.  Fuel is methane (a gas) and oxygen.  They mix and cause a blue flame.
