Money, Money, Money, Money!!!!!!! Counting money is as easy as 1, 2, 3

Remember when counting money: Always start with the coin of highest value! When counting, count by 10s, 5s, and ones. You can do it! You already know how!!!

Remember !!! A penny is worth one cent. 1 ¢.01¢ 0.01¢ $0.01 We draw a line (---) to represent one cent.

The Nickel The nickel has a value of five cents. 5 ¢ 0.05 ¢.05¢ $0.05 We represent the nickel by drawing one dot

The Dime The dime has a value of ten cents. 10 ¢ 0.10 ¢.10¢ $0.10 We represent the dime by drawing two dots.

The Quarter The quarter has a value of twenty five cents. 25 ¢ 0.25 ¢.25¢ $0.25 We represent the quarter by drawing five dots

The Half Dollar The half dollar has a value of fifty cents. 50 ¢ 0.50 ¢.50¢ $0.50 We represent the half dollar by drawing ten dots.
