Definition of digital film Digital film = live action material + painting + image processing + compositing + 2D computer animation + 3D computer animation Digital cinema is a particular case of animation which uses live action footage as one of it´s many elements Born from animation, cinema pushed animation to it´s boundary, only to become one particular case of animation in the end
