2 INTRODUCTION St. Catharines has been an area where its reputation has diminished over the years. Recently the City Hall of St. Catharines has been taking initiative in the revitalization of the city and surrounding areas. The city hopes to bring in new business from not only the local region but from areas outside of the region as well. The new centre will not only bring culture and arts back to the community but will also bring many benefits to the St. Catharines region and local businesses.

8 FINANCIALS  Many investments through the federal, provincial and Ontario government, as well as organizations and community leaders.  Financial Facts: - $28 million parking garage (opened 2012) - $50 million spectator facility (2014) - $60 million performing arts center facility (2015) - $30 million to re-purpose the Canada Hair Cloth factory into the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts (2015) - $54 million replacement of the Burgoyne Bridge (under way as of 2013)
