3 Request Project Code in PPM Tool When you move your project from concept to initiation, you will be asked if you need to create a project code for your project. If yes, the PMO office will request a project code and get it added to your project.

Definitions 1.Administrative – Functions such as meetings, training not related to a project, personnel items, procurement items not related to a project, leave, etc. 2.Enhancement Service Request – Support for a product, hardware, application, etc. 3.Incident Problem Request – Working on a help desk or problem ticket; something is broken. 4.Assistance Service Request – working on a request such as adding users to a system, deactivating users, running reports/queries, answering questions, pre- project work, these may or may not come in the form of a help desk ticket. 5

Definitions 5.Projects – Work that is associated with an approved project. 6.Product – A product is an application that is supported by an agency. 7.Service – A service offered as part of the State CIO Service Catalogue 6

Project ID – will be equal to one of four things: 1.Product/Department 2.Service 3.Project 4.OSF Support Services (this should only be used for Administration time) Depending on the work you are doing. Project Codes; 090D = Products/Department 090S = Services 090P = Projects 090000000 = Administrative 14

Activity ID – Will be the agency number for which you are doing the work on behalf 15

16 Resource Category – Adm (items that start with ADM are used for the Administrative Category) – these will only be used if you use the 09000000 code in the Project ID – 40510 – Incident Problem Category – only used for 090D and 090S project codes. – 40520 – Assistance Service Requests – only used for 090D and 090S project codes. – 40530 – Enhancement service Requests – only used for 090D and 090S project codes. – 40540 – If you use a 090P code in the Project ID, you will use this code in Resource Category.
